Rushen Cubs gets a boost

With a new leadership team at Rushen Cubs the group decided to have it’s first (for a long time) indoor camp in their Hall. On the 14th of October fourteen Cubs and six leaders met at the hall on a dark October night. The camp kicked off with a brisk night walk finding plenty of scary looking ells in the rivers and playing games on the beach.

After getting back to the hall we had a chip supper and a film night, the Jungle Book, of course! In the morning we got the bus to Castletown for our annual fundraiser in the Community Centre for Castletown fair. The Cubs took turns on the stall and rotated between that the park and rope games in trees .

The Cubs did very well raising over £200 pounds for the Cub Pack’s funds so we can buy equipment and do more activities. After the fair we went swimming in the local pool.

The weekend was enjoyed by all and it proved it is a bright future for Rushen Cubs.
